“If we only had eyes to see and ears to hear and wits to understand, we would know that the Kingdom of God in the sense of holiness, goodness, beauty is as close as breathing and is crying out to born both within ourselves and within the world; we would know that the Kingdom of God is what we all of us hunger for above all other things even when we don’t know its name or realize that it’s what we’re starving to death for. The Kingdom of God is where our best dreams come from and our truest prayers. We glimpse it at those moments when we find ourselves being better than we are and wiser than we know. We catch sight of it when at some moment of crisis a strength seems to come to us that is greater than our own strength. The Kingdom of God is where we belong. It is home, and whether we realize it or not, I think we are all of us homesick for it.”

new series by pastor jeff begins april 8
It is with great expectation we await the beginning of this series of messages. Much of Jesus teaching revolved around the Kingdom of God. Jesus told people to, "repent for the Kingdom has come near." The Lord told us to, "seek first the kingdom and His righteousness." Jesus taught us to pray, "thy kingdom come, thy will be done." These are just a sampling of Jesus' teaching on the kingdom. The kingdom of God or Kingdom of Heaven is one of the more dominant themes of Jesus' teaching ministry. If we are to follow Jesus, we are following a King who rules a kingdom. We must learn to submit to His reign in and through our lives. When we become kingdom people we: have access to the King, operate under His authority, and are heirs to all that the King reigns over. This series will change the way you look at, and live life. This a five week message series that begins on April 8th and ends on May 6th. There is so much to learn and live in this series, we will host Kingdom Groups each Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in homes throughout our community. These groups will discuss the sermon from that morning. There will be a meal, prayer, fun, and interactive discussion on how we can be a part of the Kingdom coming from heaven to earth. There will be a day time group which meets at the church on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. Follow the link more information on the Kingdom Groups.
