The new year is upon us. This is a time to refocus our energies toward making changes to better our lives. We tend to focus on the outward changes we want to see accomplished. A fitter body. A bigger bank balance. A better relationship with those closest to us. A new career path. A deeper faith. These and many other goals are good; yes even a noble pursuit. The vast majority of these resolutions are never reached. One reason may be that we focus solely on the results, forgetting what it takes to achieve the results. It's often more than desire and our own power needed to make changes in our lives. We need a power outside of ourselves to enable us to accomplish desired changes. The Bible teaches that prayer connects us to such a power. In the coming weeks we will begin a series of messages based on Mark Batterson's book, The Circle Maker. In these messages you will be encouraged and challenged to draw circles of prayer around what you want to see God accomplish in your life. These messages will lead you to encounter Jesus, the One and Only, who gives us power beyond ourselves to accomplish His purposes for our lives. Jesus called to ask, seek, & knock. A Circle Maker is one who takes Jesus seriously in asking, seeking and knocking. Are you ready to see the Lord move in ways you've never seen before? Let's make this year the year we see change accomplished for the glory of Jesus. Let's Draw the Circle together.
On January 14th, you will be given a copy of, Draw the Cirlce. This is a 40 Day prayer journal. As a church we will spend 40 days drawing prayer circles in belief that the Lord will move in miraculous ways. You will also be given a bracelet that will remind you to pray daily. Let's dive deep into prayer seeking a closer experience of Jesus in our lives.
